Hi
Welcome to latest Grey Horse Bot update email.
After my little rambles, Mark gives you an update on the latest version of GHB which we will be launching shortly.
I wanted to have a quick word with you about the “Making a Living” systems that my friend David and I came up with and that many of my blog readers have been following.
http://www.horseracingsystemsuk.com/newblog/
Basically this system has 4 races a day and we select 2 runners in each race, one to back and one to lay. So far through our original testing and since I have been showing the selections to my readers it is proving to be quite profitable.
Up to now I have only allowed subscribers of http://www.cyobs.co.uk to see the selections daily but of course I wanted to let Grey Horse Bot subscribers to see them daily as well and even test the selections themselves.
So if you go into the member’s area and check out the “Bonus” page you will see you can now get the selections everyday and download them directly into the bot using the CSV converter.
Please remember if you are interested in using the selections we are still testing.
You will see from Marks section we are adding some great new features to the Grey Horse Bot in version 3.7 and one that I must mention, is being able to run multiple bots of the same account.
Up to now we have recommended avoiding this because of the way our bot looks at your account. Now the Grey Horse Bot uses a completely different method to look at your bets which means you can now even bet manually on Betfair and still use the bot separately.
The horse form feature should be interesting to use as well because you will be able to use the filters against your selections.
That’s it from me. I am having a week off next week so hopefully the full release for V3.7 will be ready. The beta should be in the forum next Monday or Tuesday.
Best Regards
Malcolm

Hi All
Is it October already?? … Hasn’t that gone by fast? All seasons seem to
blur into one these days. Having just returned from a wet weeks holiday in
I found this out the hard way after giving up when the machines seemed to always drop the damned things I resorted to winning tickets on various other machines that might actually give me a chance of winning such as skill games and a roulette wheel! Once I had won enough tickets for the toy she wanted one of the staff went to get it out of the grab machine for me.. Watching what he was doing I saw a control panel inside the machine and what looked to me like a countdown timer.
It appears as though this counter counts the amount of money that is put into the machine.. now my theory on this is that once enough 20p’s have been put into the machine to cover the cost of 1 teddy suddenly the grip claws don’t automatically drop what looks like a good catch…. Clever way of protecting your income I guess and one to remember if you ever end up in my situation.
Anyways enough of my rambles and down to business...
Once again the tech department here at Sporting Bots has seen a flurry of activity as always over the past couple of months working on some really interesting updates for the version 3.7 release.
We have had some great feature suggestions once again and have spent a lot of time revisiting some old requests which I know many of you will be pleased to hear have been resolved.
Here is a list of feature updates and some information about them.
● Horse Form
This feature is something some of our longer term members may remember from about 2 years ago. We introduced a basic form tab which allowed you to set conditions based on certain form aspects. At the time we released it betfair swiftly informed us that this data incurred quite a considerable charge!
Well the good news is that betfair have decided to let us have access to the timeform data from the API without a charge and the feature now makes a welcome and upgraded return..
The form aspects the bot can now make use of are:
- Age
- Days since last run
- Claiming jockey
- Weight
- Stall draw
- Last run position
- Wearing (cheek pieces, blinkers etc)
- Trainers filter (restrict betting based on named trainers)
Please note that betfair only publish timeform data for UK/IRE horse racing markets
● Multiple bots
Something that has been a collective gripe in the forums for a while is the inability to use more than one bot on the same betfair account, or place bets on the website at the same time. We have now added some code to stop the bot from picking up other bets on the account and you can now use multiple bots on the same markets using one betfair username
● Paper trading bank
This suggestion from a user by email opened up a number of interesting possibilities when we started coding it here are some of the benefits
- Set your testing bank figure to whatever you want
- Use rolling % of bank and liability % of bank in paper trading
- Use staking (loss recovery) In paper trading
Please note Paper trading PL will only work accurately with UK/IRE horse racing markets that offer inplay streams as the GHB need to be able to track prices in running to calculate the PL
● Staking (loss recovery) on multiple runners
Another request that has been very popular since we introduced the staking feature you can now perform loss recovery bets on multiple runners in a race
● Export session results to .csv
Export your matched bets, odds and PL to a spreadsheet
● Trading ticks
Disable positive trading ticks to allow for use of just stop loss trading limit losses upon negative movement in odds
● New Markets
Bet on
● Screen stretching
A bug that was found in version 3.6 whereby when stretching the main screen the graphics do now follow, this has been resolved.
A fair few features there for you to sink your teeth into over the coming months. We are sure that some of these will be very welcome amongst the forum users!
Well that’s it from me for this issue; please feel free to contact us on the usual channels with tech support enquires or feature requests
All the best
Mark
