Hi
Apart from the new features listed below by
Firstly we have got together with http://www.laybackracing.com and convinced them to give a discount on their normal service price to Grey Horse Bot subscribers. So if you log into the members area you will see a link to a special page that gives you the discounted price.
I think
Secondly in the members area there has been a bonus scheme for sometime for the Proform software which is a database of results which you can use to create your own systems.
Proform have now given us an export CSV converter which you can use with the Grey Horse bot. So if you use their software to generate selections you can easily import these into the bot.
Again see the bonus page in the member’s area for more information.
Lastly I wanted to mention the “Make a Living” selections that you may have read about in my blog.
http://www.horseracingsystemsuk.com/newblog/
At the moment they are in the trial stage and has been for sometime and although the last couple of weeks have been a little more difficult than has previously been shown I think it is just the normal problems you get at the change of the season.
This system uses form information so it is more than likely it would run into some problems because of this.
Here is the latest spreadsheet and results.

(keep an eye on this because we update every few days.)
At the moment we are setting the Grey Horse Bot up so that we put 1pt on the lay and 0.5 pt on the back. So this could be £1 on the lay and 50p on the back or £10 on the lay and £5 on the back. We are experimenting with the maximum price we will take on the lay, which at the moment is 25.00 but this does mean we miss some selections.
The best way would be to use a maximum liability amount on the lay side something like 5 or 10% of your bank which would allow you to take on a larger liability knowing all the time what your maximum loss will be.
If you want to follow these selections then we have set up a special bonus page in the member’s area where you can get the CSV link to import them into the Grey Horse Bot.
You can watch my blog for updates.

Hi
GHB version 3.7 has now been released and can be downloaded from the member’s area
www.greyhorsebot.co.uk/members
For those of you who may have missed our previous email in October about the upcoming features here are the details, we have also added an extra feature that we came across in the code during testing. This was adding a target profit feature to the stake type tab. There are more details about this below
● Horse Form
This feature is something some of our longer term members may remember from about 2 years ago. We introduced a basic form tab which allowed you to set conditions based on certain form aspects. At the time we released it betfair swiftly informed us that this data incurred quite a considerable charge!
Well the good news is that betfair have decided to let us have access to the timeform data from the API without a charge and the feature now makes a welcome and upgraded return..
The form aspects the bot can now make use of are:
- Age
- Days since last run
- Claiming jockey
- Weight
- Stall draw
- Last run position
- Wearing (cheek pieces, blinkers etc)
- Trainers filter (restrict betting based on named trainers)
Please note that betfair only publish timeform data for UK/IRE horse racing markets
● Multiple bots
Something that has been a collective gripe in the forums for a while is the inability to use more than one bot on the same betfair account, or place bets on the website at the same time. We have now added some code to stop the bot from picking up other bets on the account and you can now use multiple bots on the same markets using one betfair username
● Paper trading bank
This suggestion from a user by email opened up a number of interesting possibilities when we started coding it here are some of the benefits
- Set your testing bank figure to whatever you want
- Use rolling % of bank and liability % of bank in paper trading
- Use staking (loss recovery) In paper trading
Please note Paper trading PL will only work accurately with UK/IRE horse racing markets that offer inplay streams as the GHB need to be able to track prices in running to calculate the PL
● Staking (loss recovery) on multiple runners
Another request that has been very popular since we introduced the staking feature you can now perform loss recovery bets on multiple runners in a race
● Export session results to .csv
Export your matched bets, odds and PL to a spreadsheet
● Trading ticks
Disable positive trading ticks to allow for use of just stop loss trading limit losses upon negative movement in odds
● New Markets
Bet on
● Target Profit
