GHB FAQ.

Please excuse us we are changing “Grey Horse Bot” to “GHB”, but they are still the same product. This is only a re-branding exercise to allow us to reflect the greater flexibility of the Grey Horse Bot.

Q. What is the API?

A. This is simply an interface that GHB connects through to Betfair on a secure link. Each programme like GHB is give what is referred to as a “Vendor ID”, when we pass Betfair’s security checks. In order to keep everything secure we have to tell Betfair that you are using GHB. This is all done automatically and securely when you subscribe.

Q.  Can GHB do under £2.00 betting?

A. Yes GHB can bet on Betfair under £2.00 but this is against Betfair’s T & C’s and although we haven’t heard of any Betfair accounts being closed because of under £2.00 betting we have to advise our customers that it is a possibility.

Q. Can GHB bet on all markets?

A. At the moment GHB can bet on all of the Horse racing markets including the Australian races, Greyhounds, Football, Tennis and Snooker.

Q. How often do you up-date GHB?

A. We are proud of the fact that on average we release a new GHB version every 6 weeks. Each update normally covers improvements to code, new features that we feel GHB should have and new features suggested by our subscribers,

We have a section in the GHB forum where people can ask for new features. We take all suggestions seriously and have been known to release a new version in days when we felt a suggestion was good enough to warrant it.

Q. Do you charge for updates?

A. We have not changed the price of GHB since its first release over 2 years ago!

We are not saying the price won’t change, but current subscribers will always pay the price they signed up at.

Q. Does GHB work on any other Betting Exchanges?

A. Subscribers also automatically get a Betdaq version of GHB as part of their subscription.

Q. Does GHB automatically select runners or can I select my own?

A. GHB can actually do both. In “Auto” mode GHB will select the runner (s) to bet on based on the criteria that you give it. So you could ask GHB to bet on the “Favourite” only or any runner that is between the price of 2.00 and 5. Or you can put GHB in “Manual” mode and select the runners that you want to bet on, at the price range you choose.

Q. Can GHB back and lay?

GHB can back and lay and do both at the same time! You can ask GHB to back if a runner is in one price range or lay if it is in another price range.

GHB also has what we call “Ladder Stakes” which allows you to choose your stake size based on the current runner price. GHB also allows you to bet based on Liability, Liability as a % of bank, % of bank, stake and stake as a % of bank.

Q. Does GHB have staking?

A. Staking can be dangerous and is regarded as unsafe by many people, but we realise people want to bet in different ways. GHB handles staking in two ways. Firstly you can use the in-built system or you can use the excel system which gives you a lot more freedom.

Please note: In order to activate staking within GHB, on sign-up you will be asked to agree to further T & C’s that ask you to confirm that you understand the dangers of staking.

Q. Can GHB Dutch?

A. GHB can Dutch and there are several options available, like “Dutch to liability” or “Dutch to Stake”.

Q. What other options would you say are unique to GHB?

A. Well it always difficult to say something is “Unique”  to your product but things like “Steamers and Drifters”, “Disparity” and the “Betfair SP + %” options are good examples of what makes GHB one of the most advance automated betting bots on the net.

Q. Can I run more than one copy of GHB?

A. We do not restrict the number of copies of GHB you can run. You can also download copies on different machines. We do restrict the number of Betfair usernames you can use to 3.

Q. Can I set up GHB and then switch off my computer?

A. Unfortunately you can not do this. GHB has to watch Betfair and be ready to place bets when your criteria is matched and so has to be running and connected to the internet.

Q. Why do you charge a subscription fee rather than a “one off” payment?

A. As has already been mentioned GHB is probably not only one of the most advanced automated betting bots on the market but it is also the probably the most updated. By using a monthly subscription model it allows us to fund these updates it also means we have to be committed to listening to our customers otherwise they would just stop paying for their subscription.

We also think GHB is one of the lowest price products on the market. You could go and pay £97 and get a bot that won’t even do half of what GHB will do. With our pricing structure you could use GHB for almost 5 months before you spent the same amount. You have more chance of making money with GHB than you do with a bot that cost £97, so after you have stopped using the £97 bot after 1 or 2 months and wasted £97 you could have decided quite quickly for £14.99, if GHB is for you.

Q. Do you give a free trial?

A. At this time we don’t. Our reason is that there is so much free software on the internet that most people download “free stuff” and then never use it or certainly never give the software chance to prove it’s self.

We feel that GHB along with our support and personal service is exceptional good value, for just 50p a day, for the first 30 days.
