Hi There
This is a quick update on the Grey Horse Bot Bonuses.
http://www.greyhorsebot.co.uk
Actually this week I want to cover the subject of getting a
better price than SP.
People talk about “value” all the time and the advocates of
finding value often account it to doing better than SP.
That is not the only way of finding value but it is a good place
to start and there is no reason why you shouldn’t look for ways
to help you do this.
The issue with SP is that you don’t know what it will be until
after the “off” which is no good if you are trying to beat
before it happens.
Betfair now publish their own SP which again is only available at
the “off” and there is no guarantee that Betfair’s SP will
be any better than the normally quoted SP so again that’s not
really any good for us, but there is a solution…
…The Grey Horse Bot has an option which is available on the
“Stake Settings” that allows you to ask for a % greater than
(or less than) Betfair’s SP.
http://www.greyhorsebot.co.uk/help/help-page.asp?id=14
If you are prepared to accept that you will not always get
matched if the price you ask for is not available, then this
feature could be just what you are looking for.
If we say for instance that you wanted to try to get matched at
5% better than Betfair’s SP then the first thing you need to do
activate the In Running section of the Grey Horse bot and select
the “Bet only in running” selection.
Now on the Sake settings part of the options screen change the
SP% to “>=” and put 5.00 in the box.
If you are l-y betting then you could set this the other “<=” span="">
to try to get a price that is less than SP.
Now when the in running market starts the Grey Horse Bot will
immediately (unless you ask it to wait) put a bet into the market
at Betfair’s SP + 5%. It will stay in the market until it is
either matched or cancelled because the race finishes or you used
the second option, to cancel the bet x seconds after the in-play
market starts.
If you are sensible with the % increase (or decrease if you are
l-ying) then you should find you get matched more often than you
would probably think, especially in the first couple of minutes
of the market forming.
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend.
