Hi there
This is a quick Grey Horse Bot bonus update.
Over the last couple of emails I have been talking about the in-play market and how you can use the Grey Horse Bot to try and find value from this market.
http://www.greyhorsebot.co.uk/artlinks.aspI decided to try a little experiment of my own which although it is still early days seems to be working well, although I still have a couple of questions to answer before I can really get to understand, if it is likely to be profitable long term.
I have used the idea that the Racing Post is pretty good at predicting prices and so although they are not 100% accurate, they should give you a good indication of the horses true odds and chance of winning.
So I am picking a number of selections a day based mainly on the price as advertised in the Racing Post. I then set the Grey Horse Bot to bet in-running at a lower price, which all things being equal (which of course they are not always!) should represent a value la,y if the bet gets matched.
To keep things as equal as possible I have a zero “non runner” rule. The way I see it is…
…That although some horses on the race card are regarded as very unlikely to win and in some cases Betfair do not even give them a reduction factor, but as you know we often see rank outsiders coming home in the winning position.
I am also not watching the price before the off. Some of these selections may go off at lower prices than the Racing Post predicted and it may be worth trying to capture these before the off, but at the moment I am set up for in-play only.
I haven’t decided on any other filters like the number of runners in the race or the type of race or anything like that, this idea is totally based on price.
There are about 12 selections today and we will be lucky to get matched on 4 of them but so far everyday, I have made some profit and probably could have made even more, if I added in a “stop at profit” figure which equals or is maybe double my stake value.
As I mentioned I do have several questions to answer.
1. Should I filter the races further?
2. Should I tighten the price range?
3. Should I try to get matched before the off?
4. Will it be profitable long term?
If you would like to see what I am up to, get the selections and see some of the results then you can follow me on this page….

I have also added a set up video so you can see exactly the settings I am using.
It will be interesting to see if anyone else gets the same results that I am.
Thanks for reading.
