A quick report on system 5-2 and it's latest 35.46 winner.
A couple of weeks ago I introduced a new 5-2 hurdle "sub system" to the Grey Horse Bot members area.
We had been running the original 5-2 system since last year and gradually we have been updating the system as the filters available through the SPB System builder have increased giving us a chance to analyse the results in more detail.

This was the original 5-2 system.
The original system uses all races and has very few filters and as you can see is really suffering at the moment.
Then we updated to hurdles only.

The system has been up and down over the winter months certainly since its last big winner on the 17/11/2013 at 22. (We will talk about yesterdays in a moment.)
Anyway in the last update I set out to create a “nano” type system that was far more filtered than the original or the hurdle only.
This is what the outcome was…
There is no doubt that system 5-2 relies on the odd big priced winners to boost its profit especially when it goes through a turbulent period.
Yesterday proved once again that it is still able to pull one “out of the bag” just when they are needed.
A 35.46 winner helped boost the profits to a new all time high of 295 points on the hurdle system and 363 points on the nano system.
The original still has a lot of catching up to do but I think it will need an exceptional flat season to do that.
As we will be approaching the flat season next month I will revisit the system in March and see if we can test some new ideas.
One thing 5-2 proves is that you often need a lot of patience with a system like this…But as long as they stay within the parameters (longest losing runs) that you were expecting then it is probably worth waiting it out.

This video shows we have been watching the system since the 19th of September and theyGrey Horse Bot hasn’t failed to continually monitor the system.
And you can see we are 72 points up after yesterday’s winner.
